Celebrating our hands 8/31

I hope you are enjoying my journey this month along with Jossie at http://www.myhomemadehappy.com/ . I have had a realisation today that I have only photographed myself or Arthur, my other children are all busy being teenagers with hetic social lives and my darling MrPB has been working away from home without even a visit for the weekend. It has made me realsie how stable and contanted I am to contine without the constant props of others, don't get me wrong I have had a tough week but the thing that stableises me the most is time out via yoga.

Sorry somewhat sidetract!!

Today is my knitting that didn't go as well as I hoped but I was pleased with this picture

Yarn Along

Since I found out about yarn along with Ginny at http://www.gsheller.com/ I have just wanted to be able to knit something g more than a square. I took up this challenge in a very serious manor! My offering was a beginners waistcoat, clever see, no arm or button holes. Well this is what happened :

From here it all looks ok until

yes it's about three sizes to big and one side is longer than the other. I worked to hard for so long!!

Maybe a belt would help?

well a sack of potatoes springs to mind!

Maybe I'll wear it around the house.

At least I had managed this refashion earlier in the week. Blogged about here http://charlottesewfarsewgood.blogspot.com/2012/03/fingerless-gloves-celebrating-our-hands.html

So now what? I feel that my down fall may have been a long top, how about something smaller. I am still keen but not sure what direction to take, any ideas?

More celebrating! Today I continue the theme of Arthurs little hands. I wanted to get his little fingers gripping toy blocks but he moves to fast. So today I have a collection of photos!

thankyou to Josie from http://www.myhomemadehappy.com/ for hosting this I am really enjoying myself!

Celebrationg our hands 3/31

Following along with Josie at http://www.myhomemadehappy.com/ , her efforts are on day 3 but this is my first entry but I am keeping up with everyone from now on :

Today I had 2 1/2 tons of poo arrive on the path, so I had to move it over my wall!

Lets just say Mantra's DO work, I kept running through my mind "my beautiful garden" and I have managed to move two thirds of it today, just a little left for tomorrow.

Celebrating our hands.

Josie from hand made and happy  http://www.myhomemadehappy.com/ had this wonderful idea, photographing each day on how we use our hands. Basically everything, so lets celebrate! Josie said this on her blog:

Why hands, you may wonder?  Well, virtually every activity I do each day involves my hands – cleaning, cooking, sewing, writing, playing with the children, gardening, photography itself, tidying up around the house … everything that my day to day rhythm involves … and yours too, I’ll bet.
And in thinking how amazing our hands are, how expressive they can be, I thought it would be great to celebrate them.  Sometimes they’re kind, gentle and delicate in their actions and at other times firm and strong.  Our lives truly are hand-made, aren’t they?
Starting on Thursday 1st March, I’ll share with you an image each day celebrating this hand-made life.

Such a great idea, and it is truly brilliant for me as I wanted to improve my photography skills, no better way than taking photos each day!
